This page explains what Oil Tank Removal Halifax collects when you contact us or visit this website, why, and how to reach us with privacy questions. We keep it short on purpose — we only collect what we need to quote your job and get back to you.
What we collect
- Phone calls: When you call (902) 912-2483, the call routes through CallRail, a call-tracking service. CallRail records the number you called from, the time, the length of the call, and (for quality and training) the audio of the call itself. We use this to return your call, quote your job accurately, and improve how we handle calls.
- Email: If you email info@oiltankremovalhalifax.ca, we keep the email content and your address so we can reply and track the quote conversation.
- Site visits: Our host (Cloudflare) keeps standard server logs — your IP address, browser type, time of visit, and the page you viewed. These are kept for security and performance, not advertising. We do not run third-party analytics, advertising pixels, or tracking cookies on this site at this time.
What we don't do
- We don't sell, rent, or trade your information to anyone.
- We don't run advertising trackers, Facebook pixels, or remarketing scripts.
- We don't use the call recordings for anything beyond quoting, scheduling, and quality review.
Who we share information with
We share your contact details only with the licensed oil-tank-removal operator handling your job, so they can quote and schedule. CallRail (our call-tracking provider) and Cloudflare (our web host) process data on our behalf under their own privacy terms.
How long we keep it
Call recordings: 12 months, then automatically deleted by CallRail. Emails and quote correspondence: as long as needed to complete the job plus 2 years for tax/insurance records. Server logs: 30 days (Cloudflare default).
Your rights under Canadian privacy law
Under PIPEDA (federal) and Nova Scotia's privacy framework, you can ask us what we have on file about you, request a correction, or ask us to delete it. Email info@oiltankremovalhalifax.ca with the subject line "Privacy request" and we'll respond within 30 days.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we collect or use information, we'll update this page and update the "Last reviewed" date at the top. Material changes (new tracking, new third parties) will be flagged in the footer for at least 30 days.
